Plugged Solar Utility approval?

It is legally allowed by utilities to use our PluggedSolar kit. We have installations and utility connections in most of the states. There are some confusions that we will make it clear. There was intention of US DOE to make plug-play solar to reduce cost by making solar simpler. http://energy.gov/articles/going-solar-record-time-plug-and-play-pv In the market, there are many Chinese made low cost micro grid tie inverters which are used as solar pluggable system. However, they are not UL approved (with UL-1741 code). They are not approved by any utility, power company or any government department. This inability created many questions and online bloggers kept writing in general about issues. So, many sites do write that these type of systems are illegal, because people put it without utility interconnection approval. Some blogger even try to defame our PluggedSolar and now they are slowly removing and editing all the post after understanding our system. Our PluggedSolar Kit has a patent pending technology, where the same high quality solar panels (25 yrs warranty) and grid tie inverters (5 yrs warranty) are used as in the professional solar installations by solar licensed contractors across the country. These are manufactured by mega companies. The key differentiator is the output voltage of our PluggedSolar kit. The PluggedSolar has output voltage of 120V AC which makes it pluggable as an appliance where as the solar installations have 240V AC, which requires a licensed electrician to connect and makes it costly installation. Also, PluggedSolar kit has easier DIY installation mountings for solar panels. All the components of PluggedSolar are UL approved and so, utilities and power companies are approving it. As stated by Dept. of Energy, there is 50% cost saving if solar becomes plug-play. We have come up with that system. PluggedSolar makes the solar energy affordable and comparable to the conventional Co2 producing power plant electricity. Please see our demonstration.

What is Plugged Solar

Plugged Solar™ is a DIY kit that typically installs in 1 day. It plugs into the regular wall socket as you plug any appliance. The DIY kit is preconfigured and prewired reduces the cost of solar, making the installation simple, saving the homeowners more than half of the typical solar installation cost.

This product  is based on the SunShot Initiative by the US Department of Energy:
“In the future, installing a solar array for your home could be as easy as plugging in common household appliances, which are purchased, installed and operational in one day.” Source: Energy.gov, April 24th 2012.

PluggedSolar™ technology converts the solar panel electricity to regular household voltage of 120V AC, this 120V AC can be plugged directly to the wall socket or it can be connected straight to the main electrical panel box, it works as long as there is utility power. If there is a power cut from the power company the solar electric system instantly stops producing electricity. All the components are UL approved, the Grid Tie Inverter has UL-1741 anti-islanding protection.

PluggedSolar™ how it works?
When the solar rays fall on the Solar Panel Direct Current (DC) electricity is generated. DC electricity flows to the  Grid Tie Inverter and is converted to 240 Volt AC (Alternating Current), this 240V AC flows to the Converter where is converted to 120V AC,  this 120V AC is plugged into a wall socket, the whole system works interacting with grid power.
When the system is generating power and plugged into the grid, it starts turning your electrical meter backwards producing credit into your utility account.

What makes PluggedSolar different from any other regular solar installation?

Regular solar installations are 240V AC connected to the main electric panel near the utility meter. Solar Plugged  it has a 120V AC output connected to the same main electric panel but using the existing wiring through  the home using the wall socket, this simplifies the installation where one can directly plug in the Solar Electric System like an appliance and does not need any expensive  electrical work. The home lines are rated for 1.8Kw and so the Solar Plugged it’s  maximum rate is below 1.72kw.

People have tried plug in solar with inverters of low quality and not UL approved. Solar Plugged is the answer to earlier attempts of people trying to plug the non UL approved inverters which utility companies does not allow. Solar Plugged Grid Tie Inverter and components are UL approved and applicable for utility interconnection.
Solar Plugged has come off with a unique method of installation where solar panel is just put  over the rail and the panel automatically clip-in transforming the “Do It Yourself Solar” concept to another level.
